Radiofrequency Microneedling
Vivace combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. The treatment creates controlled microchannels in the skin while delivering radiofrequency energy at selected depths.
In suitable patients, the treatment may improve the appearance of certain skin-texture concerns, lines or scars. Suitability, treatment settings and likely outcomes depend on the individual. Results vary and cannot be guaranteed.
Micro-needling works by using sterile micro needles to create small micro-channels in the skin. Creating these “channels” stimulates the healing response of the deep layers of your skin, encouraging your body to make new collagen, which is effective in smoothing facial wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, scars, blemishes and stretch marks – giving you a fresh youthful glow.
The Vivace system may also incorporate red or blue LED light. The purpose and suitability of LED treatment will be discussed during consultation.
The number of treatments you will need is dependant on your individual requirements. Typically, a treatment of 3-6 sessions at monthly intervals is recommended.
A topical anaesthetic may be used to reduce discomfort. Sensations and discomfort vary between patients and treatment areas.
Radiofrequency microneedling is not suitable for everyone. Suitability depends on factors including skin type, the concern being treated, medical history, medications, implanted medical devices and any active skin condition.

Changes may develop gradually following treatment. The number of sessions required, timing of any improvement and duration of results vary between individuals. Maintenance treatment may be discussed, but no particular outcome can be guaranteed.
Possible effects include discomfort, redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, pinpoint bleeding, crusting or temporary changes in skin sensitivity. Less common complications can include infection, pigment changes, burns or scarring. Individual risks and expected recovery will be discussed before treatment.
