Thermage FLX is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that delivers radiofrequency energy beneath the skin’s surface. In suitable patients, it may improve the appearance of mild to moderate skin laxity, lines or wrinkles.
Treatment outcomes vary between individuals. A consultation is required to assess suitability and discuss potential benefits, limitations, risks, alternatives and costs.
Thermage FLX is not suitable for everyone. Suitability depends on factors including your medical history, skin condition, treatment area, implanted medical devices and individual treatment goals.
A practitioner will assess your circumstances and explain whether treatment may be appropriate. The device must not be applied over areas that are contraindicated under the manufacturer’s instructions.
Depending on the individual and treatment area, Thermage FLX may improve the appearance of mild to moderate skin laxity, lines, wrinkles or skin texture.
Changes may develop gradually over the months following treatment. Some patients may not achieve a noticeable improvement. The timing, extent and duration of any result vary, and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.
The number of treatments recommended and whether maintenance treatment may be appropriate will depend on the individual assessment and response to treatment.
Sensations during treatment vary and may include vibration, heat or discomfort. The device incorporates cooling and vibration features intended to assist with patient comfort.
Temporary effects may include redness, swelling, tenderness, welting or altered sensation. Less common complications may also occur. Recovery time and activity restrictions vary between patients and treatment areas.
Your practitioner will discuss relevant risks, preparation and aftercare instructions before treatment. Do not take medication specifically for the procedure unless advised that it is appropriate for you by your treating practitioner.
