Is this procedure for me?

Thermage FLX is the ideal treatment for anyone who is beginning to see the effects of collagen depletion and you feel your skin needs tightening. Generally from over the age of 35 is when you may start to experience mild to moderate skin laxity. If you have sun damage, the results will only be effective if it’s moderate. Treatment is most effective if you are a non-smoker and also the applicator cannot be applied to any tattooed areas.

This is the ideal treatment for those who are looking for gradual results of a non-invasive treatment with little or no downtime. It is the perfect solution when surgery is too much and lotions are not enough.

Why is Thermage more effective than other treatments?

There are so many laser and radio frequency procedures which will smooth the surface of your skin, however there is no other treatment that will heat as deeply as Thermage. Thermage is highly effective at renewing collagen as it heats the most inner layers of the skin. The results will leave you with an overall younger looking appearance.

What results can I expect to see?

You can expect to visually see the results of tightening of collagen, eg:

  • Tighter and smoother skin with reduced sagging
  • Redefined contours under the chin area and along the jawline
  • Fine lines and wrinkles soften around the mouth, the eyes and the forehead
  • Eyes look brighter
  • Sagging under the eyes is reduced
  • Skin on the eyelids is smoother

When will I see the results?

After Care and maintenance

No downtime is required after Thermage FLX treatment. Normal activities can be resumed without any special treatments or protocols, but basic skin care maintenance and sunscreen application, which is highly recommended.

What can I expect during the procedure?

Thermage FLX is a pain free, non surgical procedure. The treatment involves mild vibration of the face, which can be soothing for patients. Throughout the procedure, your clinician will check-in with you regarding the temperature to ensure you are comfortable. You may take over-the-counter pain medication 2 hours prior to your treatment, however most patients are able to complete treatment without the need of pain relief.

The procedure takes approximately 45 mins for the face, and 90 mins for other body parts. This timing all depends on the size, location and condition of the treated area. You can expect to return to your usual routine straight after a procedure.

Are there any side affects?

After treatment there may be some temporary redness or minor swelling, however this will begin to disappear after 24hours.
