PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL

A Medical Assessment is carried out to ensure an employee is fit to work in a specific environment, and that they can fulfil the requirements of a role, can travel overseas and is also protects them from potentially harmful work environments.

Book an appointment with a GP at Westridge Medical for a Pre-Employment Medical and any tests you may need.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL

This pre-employment examination assists with risk management and identifies if a worker is medically suitable in the role in which they are applying.

A standard Pre-Employment includes:

  • Blood pressure
  • Vision
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Urinalysis
  • Doctor review of medical history questionnaire
  • Doctor review:
    • Peripheral vision
    • Oral and ear
    • Respiratory
    • Cardiovascular
    • Abdominal
    • Skin
    • Nervous system
    • Basic musculoskeletal.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL BENEFITS

Pre-employment medical assessments are conducted to ensure:

  • A safer working environment,
  • Reduction in workplace injuries,
  • Minimised downtime,
  • Reduction in WorkCover claims and insurance costs,
  • Matching the capacity of the employee with the role, and
